What is the Best Way to Reduce Felt Recoil and Increase LOP?
A KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil System is an easy fix to increase your Length-Of-Pull (LOP) and reduce felt recoil without removing the existing recoil pad on your gun. The KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil System is a specifically engineered “Easy-Fit” system that combines a specifically engineered Slip-Over Pad with the 100% unsurpassed recoil absorbing properties of a Sorbothane® insert. The Slip-Over Pad is designed for all shooting applications and with three sizes available to purchase, choosing the correct size and installing it on your gun couldn’t be easier!

Installation

Most people choose to slide the KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil System right over the existing recoil pad on their gun; however, removing the existing pad is strictly a personal choice. The 4” durable black rubber boot and the 1/2” Sorbothane insert will add 5/8” to your existing LOP and reduce recoil considerably. Additional 1/4” Sorbothane® inserts are sold separately that provide extra relief. By adding or combining extra KICK-EEZ® inserts to your Slip-Over Pad, your LOP can easily be adjusted. These inserts are sold in a package that contains two 1/4” inserts; adding both inserts to the KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil System will add an extra 1/2” to your LOP and provide additional recoil reduction. Simply stack one or both of the extra inserts on top of the original 1/2” Sorbothane insert.

Sizing

To determine which size KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil System to purchase, measure the length and the width of the butt face of your gun. If you can’t quite decide which one to order, it is best to choose the smaller size because you want the pad to fit snug. The sizes for the KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil System are as follows:
  • Small: 4 1/2” x 1 1/2” up to 4 13/16” x 1 5/8”
  • Medium: 4 13/16” x 1 5/8” up to 5 1/8” x 1 3/4”
  • Large: 5 1/8” x 1 3/4” up to 5 3/8” x 1 7/8”
KICK-EEZ® Slip-Over Recoil Boots are made of a natural rubber compound. The side of the boot is 1/16” thick, the base (or butt) of the boot is 1/8” thick. The Slip-Over Recoil boot itself does not absorb recoil; it is the inserts that are made to fit inside the Slip-On pads that absorb recoil. These Sorbothane® inserts can be purchased and added to reduce recoil in all the other popular “Slip-On” style recoil pads available for purchase today.
